With significant advances in technology over the past twenty years, it’s no surprise that we are seeing big companies scrambling to keep up with the latest marketing tactics. Traditionally multi-level marketing companies pay distributors with funds that would normally be allocated to advertisement; how each individual brands and markets themselves is typically up to them but most primarily use word of mouth. One doTERRA team believes they can change that.
“The days of texting everyone in your phone book thirteen times or until they block your number are over,” said one inside source. “There is a different and better way to develop leads for sales and prospects.”
The marketing concept being developed by this new leg in doTERRA is not one native the company, it is not one native to any MLM. A group of freelance affiliate marketers believed that skills they learned in their trade could directly transfer to the network marketing industry. doTERRA’s compensation plan coincidentally seemed to be the fit they liked.
“We have had a fair amount of success in affiliate marketing, then it occurred to us, why not take our skills into an industry that will pay us much better?”
For those of you who don’t know, affiliate marketing is an arrangement by which an online retailer pays a commission to an external individual or website for traffic or sales generated from their referrals. Affiliate marketers essentially drive traffic to companies to make sales, gain leads, or to show whatever the company paying would like its audience to see. This is accomplished through a variety of methods, but platforms such as Facebook are beginning to become very popular.
“The head of our team will be pouring $50,000 of his own money into ads to get the ball rolling; the rest of us can put in as much as we would like, leads will be divvied up based on the amount you give for advertisements. We are very skilled at getting the right material in front of the correct audience and expect to have a serious edge on others in the industry. Who else is doing this?”
